Nanny's Book Garden
ABOUT US
What is Nanny's Book Garden?

Nanny's Book Garden is a program out of San Bernardino that works to provide children ages 0-17 years with gently used books for free. This program started off with the need for books in a local pre-school class and has now expanded to a monthly used book drive for kids. This program was lovingly created by Sunshine Ray, a devoted mother of four amazing kids who believes that every child should have books to read.
This program collects lightly used or new book donations, we then sanitize them and set up a free book fair. Each child is able to pick a specific number of books based on supplies from the selection at the pop-up location for the month. These young readers have the option to participate in our "Borrowed Books" program where they can bring in the books they have read to re-donate and allow them to earn small prizes! Expenses are currently paid for out of pocket and with the kindness of the community to donate their gently used books. Please keep that in mind when you come across books your children have outgrown and consider donating to kids in the area, through us.
The pop-ups locations and dates will be posted on the "pop-up" page and updated regularly.
